Suzanne
When I lost my best "friend" of 14 years to cancer, I was almost afraid to even think about a new pet. I knew after only a short time I needed to try and fill the void. I missed that faithful greeting, the endless purring and antics of a feline friend. After visiting your web site and seeing all those sweet faces and their sad stories, I knew this was the way to go. I met with Jodi and heard about Suzanne, and finally I was able to see her. She was beautiful - so sweet and gentle. I was told she wasn't always eager to greet people, which was true and still is. I wasn't sure I could give her the security she seemed to need, but after a few days I realized that my former cat, JJ, had been very much like Suzanne. At that point I decided that Suzanne was perfect. How perfect, I was yet to find out.
She arrived and ran under the bed to hide, so I went in and sat on the floor and decided to try making friends. Well, Suzanne watched for a few minutes, but her curiosity got to her and she ventured out. Within the hour, she was curled up on my lap, where she has remained. The bond was formed instantly. Her first night, she climbed into bed with me and wanted her share of the bed and that hasn't changed either! The next morning I awoke to gentle taps on the nose, followed by her strange "body slam" - she walks up next to you and throws herself against you, then proceeds to slide down you, usually landing on her head. A stunt I've never seen before. I could go on forever, but the bottom line that is she has exceeded my dreams for a new friend. She is a clown in cats fur, always willing to entertain. She seems to know I need her and returns the love tenfold. Her gentle ways have earned her the title of Princess Suzanne - she is worth the royal treatment.
