Jeffrey Jeffrey

Jeffrey came into our home as an FSAS foster dog. We already had two dogs that ruled our house, but Jeffrey was so scared at the shelter, I was losing sleep at night thinking about him. We brought him home in December and began the slow process of gaining his trust. This little Border Collie/Sheltie mix was very shy and preferred to just hide under our bed or the desk, especially when it was thundering, which made him shake so hard, we worried he might have a heart attack from fright! Gradually, as the months passed, Jeffrey started to come out of his shell. He started playing with our other dogs, he’d jump up and down with excitement when we came home from work and then the ultimate happened. He licked our hands one day as we were petting him. It was clear after 6 months of fostering Jeffrey, that we had fallen head over heels for him and couldn’t dream of parting with him should the right family come along. In June, we formally adopted him and simply can’t imagine life without him now.
